Faithful Then, Faithful now

November 2, 2020

Hey friends and family! I pray you are all doing well and staying safe. Here in Australia we are entering Summer and enjoying the rain and warmth. As far as health goes, most of Australia is healthy, however we are still limited to where we can travel to regarding outreach. Even so, we are still blessed to be able to travel throughout the different states with some restrictions. God has been good to the journey and I hope you are able to see his goodness in your life as well.

As I mentioned last update, I had to make a very quick decision in regards to joining the DTS staff team. I said that I could not provide many details because of the fact that we had no idea what it would look like yet. But now I am able to bring you more clarity, as we have already started the DTS and are in our 2nd week of lectures. Our school started on October 14th, and we received 4 new students on our YWAM base. We are super blessed to be able to have them and conduct an actual school with them. It has been a journey for us trying to figure out all the hows, whats, whys, and what ifs. To be honest we still have some questions, but our faith in God is never changing and to see the way he has brought us this opportunity makes us expectant for what he is going to bring out of it.

An all Australian school is something we have been praying for since we realized we can not have international students. And God answered those prayers. It may not be with the numbers we expectant, but God’s plans are higher than ours. The students and staff have been in lectures the past week learning about the Character and Nature of God. As an entire school (there’s 10 of us) we have been able to engage with the topic and reflect on our life how we have seen God operating in his amazing characteristics. We have also been able to learn how to put our faith into seeing and experiencing more of those characteristics in our lives. This week will be moving on to discussing the Bible and going into depth with scripture.

During our lecture phase, we will be going on a few outreaches into different towns of Australia. We will be revisiting a few towns I have already been to, as well as going to new places. Our prayer as a staff team is that we will be able to travel to Port Macquarie in New South Wales. We were able to travel there last year and build some awesome relationships with churches and ministry partners there. However, because of border restrictions, residents of the state of Queensland are not permitted to travel that far south. We would appreciate your prayers for this to change, and pray that we would be able to travel freely between states so that we can continue partnering with other ministry leaders.

God has continuously shown me his faithfulness in this season. I realize how much I need to seek that and how much it impacts how I go about my day to day life. The more I see his faithfulness the more I want to go out and tell other people about it. It’s a wonderful cycle. I am praying that you guys can also experience that faithfulness and search for it in your lives.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

Deuteronomy 7:9

Thank you for checking in with the journey. If there is anything that you would like prayer for please let me know, as I would love to partner with you in seeing your prayers answered.

Love you all!
